On 20 July, the East Asia Centre hosted the Summer Networking Party 2024 in Hong Kong! It was such a fantastic night to see so many familiar and new faces, an eventful evening of networking and reconnecting.

A special thank you to Professor Ismail Erturk and Professor Duncan Shaw for joining us, your presence made the event memorable. The night kicked off with a welcome speech by the East Asia Centre Director, Ms Olivia Chan, who set the tone for a fun and engaging evening. This was followed by an update from the MBSAA representative, Ms Janny Shum, who shared details on the upcoming events. Mr Tim Chan from the Toastmasters Club also took the stage to promote their activities. We would also like to extend a big thank you to our wonderful MCs, our current MBA students, Ms June Fung and Mr Paul Smith, for their excellent emceeing throughout the night. Their energy and enthusiasm really elevated the party atmosphere.

The night view with the Manchester Festival themed neon light backdrop was simply stunning, setting the perfect atmosphere for the special "toy catching" moments. Those playful activities really brought an extra fun element to the party. 

We also want to extend a warm welcome to the July 2024 cohort of our MBA programme. Congratulations on starting your journey! We look forward to seeing you at our events or the Centre again soon.

Overall, it was a wonderful evening filled with great conversations, new relationships, and plenty of enjoyment. We are looking forward to meeting you all at the next event!
