This September, a seminar entitled ‘Why Employee Retention is a thing of the past’ was held at the East Asia Centre, featuring Mr. Teddy Liu, General Manager, Corporate & Talent Development, New World Development Company Limited. Mr. Liu argued eloquently against the need for proactive talent retention, sharing his belief that in a business environment that is turbulent and competitive, the counter-intuitive option might actually be beneficial. It was full house at the event, with rapt executives exploring the issue with Mr. Liu. Beginning and ending with plenty of networking opportunities for our participants, this was an unqualified success.
